The TEMPO Communications NETcat Pro2 NC-500 wiring tester is designed for advanced verification of coaxial and twisted pair cables (both shielded STP and unshielded UTP). Thanks to its integrated TDR technology, it precisely measures cable length and pinpoints the exact distance to faults such as shorts, opens, reversed polarity, crossed pairs, or split pairs. It features a backlit graphical touch screen LCD, a built-in generator with four distinct tracking tones, active network device identification (PC or HUB) displaying capabilities on 10/100/1000 BaseT Gigabit networks, and PoE sourcing device detection. Additionally, it includes wiremaps utilizing remote identification IDs, an NVP values library for common cables, and a useful scratchpad notepad function.
